Truog is recognized as one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Black Leaders and an award-winning Civil Rights Leader and Young Professional.

As Vice Chair of the Black Caucus, Amani Latimer Burris is working to strengthen the caucus’s role in shaping a Wisconsin that works across our differences. A former elected official and current advisor, Amani’s work is informed by family legacy and experience working for and alongside nationally and locally recognized changemakers who have translated deeply held values into public action at the local, state, and national levels.

KeJuane “Key” Jennings our Black Caucus Treasurer is a community-focused political organizer, husband and new father dedicated to expanding civic engagement in Wisconsin. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Democrat Party of Milwaukee County and At-Large member of the WisDems Environmental Caucus; and an Executive Board Member of Wisconsin Voices. He’s also a proud dog dad to two pups. His work centers on strengthening Democratic infrastructure, broadening representation and mobilizing voters statewide.

Donald D. Dantzler Jr., Secretary of the Black Caucus, is an education research professional, community leader, and public servant based in Fitchburg. He currently serves as an alderman on the Fitchburg City Council and is a trusted advisor to many throughout Dane County and our state.
