The mission of this Caucus is to promote the involvement of African-Americans and people of African descent in the political process and the activities of the Democratic Party at the local, state, and national level. 

Our goal as Wisconsin Black Democrats is to be a Beacon for Black Wisconsinites and our allies where we can build and execute our collective power to deliver meanings for change for our communities.

Our strategic plan, BEACON, prioritizes us to:

Bring Wisconsin Black Democrats and our allies together to strengthen relationships, share resources, and foster mutual support.

E – Elect Black Democrats  

Support and empower Black candidates who will advance policies aligned with our community’s needs and priorities.

A – Advocate for the Black Policy Agenda  

Champion policies and initiatives that center the voices, concerns, and aspirations of Black Wisconsinites.

C – Cultivate Black Voices  

Elevate and amplify Black voices, leadership, and expertise throughout the Democratic Party and Wisconsin

O – Organize for Long-Term Power  

Strategically build lasting political power and infrastructure to ensure ongoing impact and advocacy

N – Nurture Future Leadership  

Invest in developing new leaders to sustain and expand Black political power in the state.
